Groundwater Detection Worldwide, Free in Every Country

Updated July 2026 · ~7 min read

Groundwater does not respect borders, and neither should the tools for finding it. Because JalDrishti reads global datasets rather than one country's survey, any coordinate on Earth can be scanned — free.

One app, all seven continents

Most groundwater tools are built around a single national dataset, so they stop working the moment you cross a border. JalDrishti instead combines global satellite imagery, a worldwide digital elevation model and regional geology, so the same scan works on a farm in Telangana, a ranch in Texas, a smallholding in Kenya or a vineyard in Chile.

JalDrishti is free worldwide: unlimited groundwater scans, reports, maps and a bore calculator, with voice guidance in 33 languages. You only ever pay if you choose an optional certified-geologist review.

Why it costs nothing

A dry borehole can wipe out a season's income for a smallholder, and the information that prevents it is cheap to distribute once the data pipeline exists. Scans, reports, maps and the bore calculator are free everywhere; the only optional cost is a certified geologist reviewing your specific site.

Does accuracy vary by country?

The method is identical everywhere, but ground truth is not. Countries with rich open hydrogeology data allow closer cross-checking, and hard-rock terrain is inherently harder to predict than a thick alluvial aquifer anywhere in the world. Treat the scan as a shortlisting tool and confirm expensive drilling with a survey.
